Reverend Neal Martelle Floberg, 75, a resident of Auburndale, FL died March 19, 2002 at Lakeland Regional Medical. Reverend Floberg was born on June 5, 1926, in Rice Lake, WI. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He moved to Auburndale in November 1991 from Minnesota. He was a member of the Grace Church in Lakeland. He graduated from Bethel College and Seminary in St. Paul and was pastor of the following churches, First Baptist Church in Sturgeon Bay, WI, Calvary Baptist Church in Warren, Pennsylvania, Salem Baptist Church in Eau Claire, WI, and Elim Baptist Church in Anoka. He was Director of Church Planting at the Minnesota Baptist Conference, Florida Carribbean Baptist Conference, and Director of Church Enrichment in Florida in the FCBC. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, formerly Marjorie Nelson of Houston; one son, David, Circle Pines; one daughter, Meredith ėMerrieî True, Ft. Myers, FL; two foster children, Nancy Bottomley, Apple River, IL, and James Leroy, Muncie, IN; one brother, R. Laverne Floberg, Hemet, CA; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, April 6, 11 am, at the Houston Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
