Palma Fritz

Palma G. Fritz, 83, of Sparta, WI, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born May 14, 1918, to James and Petra (Almoasbak) Hagen in Caledonia. She grew up in Caledonia and married Alfred Nelson on February 4, 1941 in Preston. Alfred died in 1959. She later married Robert C. Fritz on September 22, 1962 and they moved to La Crosse, WI. Robert died in 1998. Palma became a resident of the Morrow Memorial Home in February 2002.

She is survived by her four children: Linda (Michael) Betts, Sparta, Avon (Maurice) Dahl, Decorah, IA, Burnell (Harriet) Nelson, Wyoming, MI, and Ardis (Sharon) Nelson, Maricopa, AZ; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Alfred and Robert, and two brothers and eight sisters.

A memorial prayer service will be Friday, May 3, 2 pm, at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend Jeffrey Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse, at a later time.

Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home on Friday from 1 pm until time of services.
