Mary Dunn

Mary A. Dunn, 87, of Caledonia, and formerly of Green Valley, AZ and Des Moines, IA, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at The Lutheran Home-Caledonia. She was born November 8, 1914 in Elkhart, IA, to Harry L. and Mary E. (Spooner) Doubleday. Mary is a graduate of Elkhart High School. On September 21, 1939, she married Raymond H. Dunn and they celebrated 62 years of marriage this past year.

Mary and Raymond lived in Des Moines, IA where Mary was employed with Farm Bureau for many years. After their retirement, they moved to Green Valley, AZ where they lived for 20 years before moving to Caledonia in November of 2000. On February 9, of this year, Raymond preceded Mary in death.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Dunn, Dallas Center, IA, and Roger (Susan Staggemeyer) Dunn, Eitzen; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Faye Eagen of Diamond Spring, CA.

In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Louis, Harold, Art, Dale and Cliff.

Services will be Friday, April 12, at 7 pm at the Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, with Pastor Rob Devens officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 pm until the time of service.
