Clarissa I. Klinski, 88, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Clarissa Irene Nelson was born April 1, 1914, in Spring Grove, MN, to Peter and Hannah (Gran) Nelson. On October 3, 1935, she married Luverne Klinski in Caledonia. Clarissa worked for Rush Products until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson and its Sarah Circle. Clarissa will be remembered for her love of crocheting, bird watching, quilting with her circle at church and her love for her family. Clarissa had been a resident at the nursing home for four years and considered the nursing home staff and residents as a part of her family. Survivors include three sons, Kermit (Shirley), Plum City, WI, Jerome (Beverly), Peterson, and Douglas (Hazel), Black Hawk, SD; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene (Charles) Baker and Evelyn Harpstrieth, both of La Crosse; a sister-in-law, Orinda Nelson, La Crosse; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luverne; one brother, William Nelson; and one infant brother. Services were Monday, August 5, 11 am, at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson with Peter Huggenvik officiating. Burial was in the West Grace Cemetery in Peterson.
