Posted: 12/17/02 Lyle "Butch" HeintzLyle C. ìButchî Heintz, 85, formerly of rural Caledonia, MN died Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at the Caledonia Lutheran Home. He was born May 31, 1917, in Sheldon township to Charles and Mathilda (Kuecker) Heintz. Lyle served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He then farmed with his brother Howard, in Union township until 1998 when he sold the farm and moved to Roseview Court in Caledonia. Lyle was a member of the former Presbyterian Church of Caledonia. Survivors include two sisters, Leota Lampert of Caledonia, and Charlotte (Davinder) Singh of New Delhi, India; one brother, Norman (Irene) Heintz of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Heintz of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Violet Neumann; and four brothers, Verdayne, Harold, Howard, and Melvin. Services were held Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m.. William Reese officiated. Burial with military honors was in Evergreen Cemetery.
