Margaret Lybeck

Margaret A. Lybeck, 88, of Caledonia, MN, died Friday, December 13, 2002, at The Lutheran Home, Caledonia. She was born March 19, 1914, in Brownsville Township to John and Ellen (Harty) Welsh. She married Anton Lybeck November 26, 1935 at St. Peterís Catholic Church, Hokah. He preceded her in death February 28, 1990.

Margaret was a member of St. Maryís Catholic Church, its Council of Catholic Women and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She is survived by her son, Wayne of Belleville, MI; a sister-in-law, Adell Stadtler of Caledonia; and various nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Abicht; and four brothers, Ambrose, Lawrence, Francis and Thomas Welsh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Donald J. Schmitz will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where the Catholic Daughters will lead a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church before the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Peterís Catholic Church Building Fund, Hokah, the Stone Church Preservation Fund, Houston, or St. Maryís School, Caledonia.
