Joseph Jennings

Joseph Edward Jennings, 92, of Caledonia, died Monday, December 23, 2002, at The Lutheran Home, Caledonia. He was born December 24, 1909 in Caledonia to Frank and Esther (Davy) Jennings. He married Irene Collins June 24, 1934 in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death March 12, 1999.

Joe lived in Lewiston, MN, La Crosse and Blair, WI, and worked as an hatchery manager for the Swifton Company until his retirement in 1968. He then worked for Coast to Coast in Blair, Whitehall and Caledonia. He moved to Caledonia in 1980. He was a member of The Holy Name Society in La Crosse and Blair and St. Maryís Parish, Caledonia.

He is survived by a brother Francis (Marlys) Jennings of Caledonia and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin.

Mass of Resurrection was Friday, December 27, at 10:30 am at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Thomas Jennings and Donald J. Schmitz officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends called from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a rosary was said at 4:30 p.m. Friends also called from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
