Paul G. Troendle, 63, of Bluffton, IA, died Friday, February 8, 2002, at his home after a short illness. He was born September 29, 1938 in Waukon, IA, to Elmer and Maxine (Meyer) Troendle. He was a 1957 Waukon High School graduate and attended Technical Training School in St. Paul. In 1960 he married Joanne Duffy in Waukon. They later divorced. He then married Sally Reid on April 25, 1991. Paul moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, in 1962 and started Paul Troendle Construction in 1968. He was a member of St. Bridgetís Catholic Church in Bluffton, and also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul (Melynda) James Troendle, and Joseph (Erin) Troendle, all of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Mary Jean (Dewey) Baker, San Diego, CA, Janet (Jerri) Gibbs, Hesper, IA, and Diane (Bill) Hepker, Vinton, IA; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Ellmer (Mike) Troendle, Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mary Ann Duffy, Decorah, IA, Phyllis (Gerald) Bohlman, Milwaukee, IA, and Ann (Steve) Klug, Spring Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Joan Troendle. Services were held Monday, February 11, 11am, at St Bridgetís Catholic Church in Bluffton with burial in the church cemetery. Father Henry Chiripar officiated. Friends called Sunday from 2-5 pm at Roble Funeral Service in Spring Grove, where there was a prayer service at 4 pm, and also at the church on Monday from 10-11 at the church. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
