Joel Thery
Joel Peter Thery, 63, of Caledonia, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002, in his home. He was born December 30, 1938 in Caledonia to Henry P. and Delrose K. (Mechtel) Thery.
Joel was a graduate of Loretto High School, Caledonia. He previously lived in Louisiana for many years and worked as a cook on an oil rigger. He returned to Caledonia in 1995 and has been an active volunteer at the SEMCAC food shelf in Caledonia.
He is survived by his sister, Jean Ann Thery of Caledonia; and nieces and nephews.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jacquelyn Rose Thery and a brother Frederic Thery.
Services will be Wednesday, February 6, 1:30 pm at Holy Family Hall, St. Maryís School, Caledonia, with Father Donald Schmitz officiating and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 5, at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a rosary will be said at 7 pm. Friends may also call from 1 pm until the time of service Wednesday.
