Olga Sanness

Olga Charlotte Sanness, 89, of Spring Grove, died January 10, 2002, at Tweeten Health Care Services in Spring Grove. She was born November 30, 1912, in Ray, North Dakota, to Ole and Theoline (Engene) Myhre. She moved to Spring Grove when she was three years old. On November 30, 1937, she married Ole Sanness, at the Caledonia parsonage in Caledonia. Ole preceded her in death on August 10, 1994. The couple farmed in Wilmington Township until retiring and moving to Spring Grove in October of 1981.

Olga was a member of Wilmington Lutheran Church in rural Spring Grove and its womenís groups.

She is survived by one son, Lloyd (Nancy) Sanness of Spring Grove; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Oscar (Ingrid) Myhre of Spring Grove; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Myhre and Olga Ellingson, both of Spring Grove.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson-in-law, Rick Dehning, one sister Ella, and two brothers, Clifford and Alvin Myhre.

Services were held Sunday, January 13, 2 pm, at Wilmington Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pastors Rolf Storlie and Elizabeth Stempinski officiated. Friends called Saturday from 5-7 pm at the Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday.
