Donna Lucille Lee, 72, died unexpectedly as a result of an aneurism, on Sunday, January 13, 2002, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, with her family by her side. She was born May 14, 1929 in Dundas, Minnesota, to Jacob and Lucille (DeWolfe) DeMann. While attending Hamline University in St. Paul, she met Walter Lee and they married on September 3, 1949 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Northfield. After marriage they continued to live in the Twin Cities as Donna completed her teaching degree and Walt completed his dentistry degree, both at the University of Minnesota. She is survived by her husband; children Deborah (Jeffrey) Briggs of Los Angeles; David (Sue) of Edina, Rebecca (Benjamin) Cien of Los Angeles; four grandchildren; sister Marguerite Collison of Burnsville; brother Charles (Audrey) DeMann of Dundas; and many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Local survivors include Priscilla (Robert) Lee, and Joseph (Geraldine) Lee, Caledonia. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 17, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Northfield with Revs. Joseph Crippen and Leslie Svendsen officiating with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
