Mildred Almeter

Mildred K. Almeter, 88, of La Crescent, MN died Friday, January 25, 2002 at La Crescent Health Care Center.

She was born April 1, 1913, in Caledonia to Nick and Theresa (Wagner) Link. She married Lewis L. Almeter in Rochester. He preceded her in death in 1995. She lived in Rochester and La Crosse and has resided in La Crescent for 45 years. She worked as a beautician and also worked at Auto Lite in La Crosse. She was a member of Church of Crucifixion, La Crescent.

She is survived by a sister, Verna Link of Caledonia and two nephews and one niece. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one brother and 10 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, January 28, at Church of Crucifixion, La Crescent. Father Donald Loosbrock officiated and burial was in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mazeppa.

Friends called from 9:30 to 10 am Monday at the church before the service. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, assisted the family with arrangements.
