Three file for District 4 seat

The county commissionerís race in District 4 will be on the primary ballot September 10 with at least three candidates vying for the job.

As of Monday, incumbent David Corcoran was being challenged by Bill Beckman and Melvin Davy, Jr. in District 4.

In District 2, Kevin Kelleher, the incumbent, is being challenged by Larry Connery.

Sheriff Mike Lee faces opposition from Randy Shefelbine in the upcoming election.

Several incumbents remained unchallenged as of Monday. They include county recorder Bev Bauer; county auditor Peter Johnson; county attorney Richard Jackson and county treasurer Audrey Petersen.

In the Soil and Water Conservation District, Doug Meyer has filed in District 1 and Adolph Heimerdinger in District 2.

Filing closed Tuesday, July 16. Late filings will be published in next weekís Argus.
