Pearl Cripps

Pearl E. Cripps, 73, of rural Houston, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at The Lutheran Home in Caledonia. Pearl was born on January 29, 1929, in Forward, Wisconsin to Preston and Stella (Norland) Erdahl. She was raised in Stoughton, WI. She married Donald Cripps on January 23, 1951 in Madison, WI, and moved to the Houston area where they lived all of their married lives.

Pearl enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, collecting Harley Davidson memorabilia and especially going on rides with Don on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. She and Don had attended the Sturgis Cycle Rally for the last 11 years.

Pearl is survived by her husband, Don; seven children: Victoria (Gary) Crist, Floodwood, MN, Kathleen, Farmington, MN, Alan (Karen), Sandra, both of Houston, Clayton (Lisa), Apple Valley, CA, Elizabeth, Winona and Paul (Carolyn), Houston; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Ervin (Shirley) Erdahl, Roger (Billie) Erdahl, and Kenneth (Bobbie) Erdahl; three sisters: Shirley Krueger, Janet (Jerry) Majors, and Marilyn (Allyn) Fahrney; and one sister-in-law, Loretta Erdahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sanford and Leroy, and one sister, Doris.

Services were held Tuesday, July 30, 10:30 am, at the Stone Church in rural Houston with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Friends called from 5-8 on Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes-Houston Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
