William ëBillyí Bubbers

William ìBillyî Nicholas Bubbers, II, 20, of Caledonia, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born January 5, 1982, in Caledonia to Gary F. and Mary A. (Konzem) Bubbers. He attended St. Maryís Grade School, Caledonia High School and Bluff Country Learning Options and graduated in 2000. Billy also attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis and was recently accepted at Rochester Community and Technical College. He was currently employed at WXOW Channel 19 TV and Evesole Motors, La Crosse.

Billy enjoyed music, playing the drums and guitar and jamming with his friends. He also enjoyed various sports, especially soccer.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Mary; sister, Stephanie; and brother, Michael; all of Caledonia; maternal grandmother, Helen Konzem; paternal grandparents, William and Gena Bubbers, all of Caledonia; and special friend, Abby Bulman of Spring Grove.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Bubbers, and grandfather, Nicholas Konzem.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 12, at St. Maryís School, Caledonia. Father Donald J. Schmitz will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends called from 3-8 pm on Tuesday at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, with a prayer service at 7:30 pm. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
