Lillian Viola Ingvalson, 75, of Spring Grove, MN, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at the home of her sister, surrounded by her loving sister, daughters, granddaughters and nieces. She was born July 6, 1926, in Ray, ND to Oscar and Bergit (Benson) Landsom. The family moved from Ray, ND, during the depression, then settled in the Riceford, Spring Grove area. She was a Spring Grove High School graduate. One June 3, 1949, she married Leslie O. Ingvalson in Spring Grove who died January 19, 1992. The couple farmed in Spring Grove Township for many years before moving to Spring Grove. Lillian worked at Argus-Mansfield Industries, Control Data, Skiftons, and Vernís IGA, all in Spring Grove, before retiring in 1988. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, and its womenís groups, a former member of the American Legion Auxilliary, the ěS.B.î group, and founder of the ěHens and Chicks.î She is survived by one son, Larry (Lynn) Ingvalson of Decorah, IA; two daughters, Lorene ěLoriî (L. David) Belz of Winona, and Cindie (Galen) Gunderson of Spring Grove; three grandchildren; one brother, Milford (Emma) Landsom of Spring Grove; two sisters, Gladys Wennes and Jenny Holty, both of rural Spring Grove; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Leslie, she was preceded in death by her sister, Josie Rauk. Services will be held Wednesday, June 19, at 11 am, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove with burial in the Trinity Church Cemetery. Pastor Jim Arends will officiate. Friends called Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
