Posted: 6/4/02 Gladys LarsonGladys Janora Larson, 87, of Highlands Ranch, CO, and formerly of Spring Grove, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at her home. She was born May 29, 1914, at home in Winneshiek Co., Iowa, to Odolf and Julia (Storlie) Ganrud. She attended rural school and lived for 85 years in Spring Grove, moving to Colorado three years ago. She owned a seamstress business for many years and had worked in various stores in the area. On February 10, 1934, she married James L. Larson and he preceded her in death. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove and its womenís groups. She was also a member of the Legion and Hospital auxiliaries. Gladys is survived by one son, Albert (Bette) Larson; two daughters, Mona (James) Roe, and Dorothy (Don) Gantenbein; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gilma Onsgard, Spring Grove. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Odell, Henry and Vernon and three sisters, Olga, Corrine and Selma. Services were held Monday, June 3, at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Jim Arends officiated. Friends called on Monday from 9-11 am at the church.
