Emma J. Britson
Emma J. Britson, 102, of Houston, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Emma was born March 1, 1900, in Houston, MN to Albert and Christina (Traff) Britson. She attended Looney Valley Country School District #5 and was a very active, lifetime member of the Looney Valley Lutheran Church.
She worked as a housekeeper in the Winona, La Crosse and Houston areas, and also was a cook for the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Her hobbies included doing handiwork. She was known to always be there to help her family whenever there was a need.
Emma is survived by one brother, Melvin (Lizzie) Britson, Houston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Services were 11 am, Wednesday, March 13, at Looney Valley Lutheran Church, rural Houston, with the Rev. Kris Fahey officiating. Burial was in Silver Creek Cemetery, rural Houston. Friends called one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Looney Valley Lutheran Church.
