Dwayne Kumpf

Dwayne Keith Kumpf, 49, of New Albin, IA, died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at his home of a sudden heart attack. He was born August 15, 1952 in La Crosse, WI, to Walter and Edna (Ellingson) Kumpf. He was a lifelong Dorchester, New Albin, Iowa, area resident and a 1970 Waukon High School graduate. On August 16, 1986, he married Patricia Zeimet at St. Josephís Church in New Albin.

Dwayne was an over O.T.R. driver for Anderson Trucking of St. Cloud, a member of St. Johnís Methodist Church of Dorchester, IA, and a member of the St. Johnís Church Cemetery Association.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Edna Kumpf, Spring Grove; one son, Bryan (Wendy) Kumpf, New Albin; one daughter, Kimberly Kumpf, Winona; one brother, George (Karen) Kumpf, Omaha, NE; and one niece and nephew.

Preceding him in death was his father, Walter Kumpf and one brother in infancy.

Services were held Tuesday, 1:30 pm, at Caledonia United Methodist Church in Caledonia with burial in St. Johnís Methodist Church Cemetery, Dorchester. Pastor Tony Fink officiated. Friends called Monday from 5-7 pm at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and from 1-1:30 pm at the church on Tuesday.
