Ronald J. Thompson, 70, of Minneapolis died on March 19. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his Army service in Korea. He married Beatrice Helgen in 1954. He had two daughters, Victoria and Andrea. Ron was employed at Sprague National Bank in Caledonia for 23 years. Later he worked as a dental lab technician with his brother. Preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Victoria; brother, Dr. Almon Thompson, DDS. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Thompson of Minneapolis; and other family and friends. Services were March 23 at 5:30 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Private internment was at Oaklawn Cemetery, in Northfield.
