County officials hold onto positionsPosted: 11/13/02 Four of the countyís elected officials ran unopposed in the November 5 election. County Recorder Bev Bauer retained her position in the second election of her career, receiving 7,461 votes. County Attorney Rick Jackson ran for the first time after being appointed in 2000 to fill the unexpired term of James Fabian,who was named a District Court Judge. Jackson received 7,202 votes. Fabian ran unopposed in the Third Judicial District and received 6,608 votes. County Treasurer Audrey Petersen received 7,772 votes, and County Auditor A. Peter Johnson 7,482 votes. City of Caledonia Eitzen In Eitzen, Jeff Merzenich and Keith Meyer won seats on the city council with 66 and 89 votes respectively. Mary Lou Burrichter was on the ballot as well and received 36 votes. Ronald Meyer received 97 votes for Mayor. Brownsville, Hokah Tim Serres was elected mayor of Brownsville with 177 votes to 75 for Paula Gregerson. For council, Joseph Serres and Jim Driscoll won seats with 192 and 151 votes respectively. Pam Walhovd was on the ballot for council and received 103 votes. In Hokah, Kevin Walther and Tom Oldenburg won council seats with 149 and 119 votes.
