Lloyd Bjorgo
Lloyd Bjorgo, 80, of Caledonia and formerly of Spring Grove, died Saturday, November 16, 2002, at The Lutheran Home in Caledonia. He was born August 12, 1922 at his home in Highland Township, rural Decorah, IA, to Elias and Julia (Halverson) Bjorgo.
He attended rural school in Winneshiek County, Iowa and he never married. He bought the family farm from his parents and later sold it and worked as a farm laborer. He liked to talk Norwegian and was a member of Big Canoe Lutheran Church in rural Decorah.
Several cousins survive Lloyd.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gilman and Roman.
Services were held Monday, November 18, 2 p.m. at Big Canoe Lutheran Church, rural Decorah, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor David H. Andreae officiated. Friends called on Monday from 1-2 p.m . at the church only.
Roble Funeral Service of Spring Grove was in charge of arrangements.
