Barbara Albert

Barbara Jean Albert, 52, of Brooklyn Center, died suddenly Monday, November 18, 2002, at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN. She was born May 15, 1949, in Caledonia to George and Marie (Peter) Albert. She attended St. Maryís School and Loretto High School in Caledonia. Barbara was currently employed at IC Systems, Minneapolis. She enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching and reading and was known for the many hats and afghans she created.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Wirtz, and three grandchildren, all of Woodbury; her father, George (Virginia) Albert, Caledonia; two sisters, Nancy (Ole) Braaten, Caledonia, and Karen (Kevin) Kruse, Eitzen; four brothers, Tony (Maureen) Albert, Crystal Lake, IL, Dan (Sharon) Albert, Spring Grove, Mike (Tammy) Albert, Caledonia, and Gary Albert, Milwaukee, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a niece.

Services will be at 11a.m. Thursday, November 21, at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, with Rev. Tony Fink officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services on Thursday.
