Anna Gstalder

Anna Ida Bertha Gstalder, 98, formerly of Hokah, MN, died Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the Caledonia Lutheran Home. She was born March 3, 1904, in Mayville township, Houston County, MN, to Frank and Amelia (Bolduan) Ratonde. On September 20, 1927, Anna married Louis Gstalder and he preceded her in death January 21, 1971.

Survivors include two daughters, Gale Lynnette (William) Wendland-Senn of Cedar Falls, IA and Carole Ann (Robert) Feiler of San Bruno, CA; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Roger Wendland; five brothers, Louie, Willie, Paul, Hermann, and Charles Ratonde; and five sisters, Esther Schroeder, Emma Mader, Tillie Wittenberg, Stella Miller and Leone Lechtenberg.

Services will be Tuesday, November 26, at 1 p.m. from the Hokah United Methodist Church with Rev. Lora Sturm officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Monday from 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorials are preferred to Hokah United Methodist Church.
