Posted: 11/25/02 Arlin FeilArlin Feil, 84, of Caledonia, MN and formerly of Eitzen, MN, died Saturday, November 23, 2002, at the Caledonia Lutheran Home. He was born September 8, 1918, in Caledonia to Walter and Beata (Burmester) Feil. Arlin served in the United States Army Aircorps during WWII. On May 27, 1942, he married Ruby Ranzenberger in Eitzen. Together they farmed on Cabbage Ridge, Winnebago township from 1945 until 1977 when they retired and moved to Caledonia. On August 25, 1988, Ruby preceded Arlin in death. Arlin was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Eitzen. He also was a member of the Loveless-Eikens American Legion Post 191 and the Houston County VFW Post 3833, both in Caledonia. Arlin enjoyed bowling and participated in leagues in Caledonia, Spring Grove and La Crescent for 51 years. He also enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include three daughters, Carol (John) Paus, Eitzen, Julie (Art) Bachman, Midland, TX, and Cindy (Jerry) Arnevik, Troy, MO; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Anita Lorenzana, Ventura, CA; one brother, Leon (Marveen) Feil, Eitzen; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Arlin was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be Wednesday, November 27, at 11 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd Krueger officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
