Posted: 11/25/02 Clarice StorlieClarice J. Storlie, 80, of Spring Grove, died Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Tweeten Health Services in Spring Grove. She was born September 2, 1922 in Houston County, MN to John and Edna (Smith Anderson) Gaustad. She was a lifelong area resident. In 1940 she married George Walters, he died in 1981, she then married Irvin Storlie on December 15, 1984 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. She had worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for 10 years and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer, rural Spring Grove. Clarice is survived by her husband Irvin of Spring Grove; one son, Gary Walters, Green Bay, WI; two stepsons, Leighton (Diane) Storlie, Denver, CO and Alfred (Jean) Storlie, Mabel; two stepdaughters, Marcella (Ron) Kimminau, Denver, CO, and Sarah (Marvin) Cavender, Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Gaustad, Houston; and one sister, Verna Odegaarden, Houston. In addition to her first husband, George Walters, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Gaustad and Lester Gaustad and one sister Myrtle Steele. Services will be held Wednesday, November 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer with burial in the Money Creek Cemetery, rural Houston. Pastor Norman G. Omodt will officiate.
