Posted: 11/6/02 Lila JackowskiLila Lee Jackowski, 78, of Houston, MN, died Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Lila was born on February 27, 1924, at Oak Ridge, MN, to Julian and Stella (Saunders) Lee. She was baptized and confirmed at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church. She attended Oak Ridge Grade School and graduated from Rushford High School in 1941. Lila worked at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI, for several years. She then moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she worked at Harnisifiger Company doing office work. Lila married Daniel Jackowski in 1952. Daniel died in 1995. In October of 1996, Lila moved to Houston to live near her family. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. She is survived by one brother, Jerome (Bonnie) Lee of La Crosse; one sister, Anita (Lyle) Peterson of Houston; one sister-in-law Evelyn Konek of Milwaukee, WI; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends. Services are at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, at Hoff Funeral Homes-Houston Chapel with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday.
