Norman Vick

Norman Vick, 78, of Harmony and formerly of Duluth, MN, died Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at Gundersen/Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. He was born March 13, 1924 at home to Gilbert and Emma (Traaen) Vick. He attended rural school in Black Hammer Twp, Houston County. During his youth he resided at the home of Torval and Jenny Hagen.

He had lived in Harmony for the past ten months and had resided in Duluth for the past fifty-one years. He married Charlotte Penno and she preceded him in death in March of 1998. Norman worked in the C.C. Camps and had worked in the Iron Ore loading docks for the railroad in Duluth. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a former member of Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer, rural Spring Grove.

He is survived by one brother, Clifton (Velma) Vick, Austin; three sisters, Evelyn Vick, Aitkin, his twin sister, Norma Dahl, Canton, and LaVaughn Blagsvedt, Rushford; also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Nels Vick and two sisters, Verna Meyer and Gladys Qualey.

Visitation was from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, prior to services held at 11:30 a.m. at the Roble Funeral Chapel in Spring Grove. Pastor Mary Waudby officiated and burial was in the Black Hammer Church Cemetery.
