Electrical outage planned in city

Several businesses and homes in the city will be affected by an electrical outage planned for Thursday, October 17, beginning at 9 a.m. The customers who will be without electricity are those served by the Wild Turkey #1 substation and include APN, West Main Townhomes, AmericInn, Dairy Queen, ALCO, Pine Estates, Sno-Pac, Hoskins Electric, Caledonia Public School, Tri-County Electric, and S&S Car Wash.
The purpose of the outage is to replace a transformer in the substation.
If all goes well, the work should e completed in 2 to 2 1/2 hours, according to the notice distributed by the city.
