Selma Jorgena Olson Ranzenberger, 87, Caledonia, died Monday, September 30, 2002, at the Lutheran Home, Caledonia. She was born March 3, 1915, in Crystal Valley, Houston Township, to Theodore and Gena (Jorgenson) Olson. On April 2, 1936, she married Rudolph ěRudyî Ranzenberger in Houston, MN. Selma and her husband farmed in Caledonia Township until 1976, when they moved to Caledonia. She was an active member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia, where she served on the ladies aid and mothers club. Selma was a member of Homemakers and was a 4-H leader while her children were in 4-H. Survivors include her husband, Rudy; two children, Dawn (Jeff) Felten of Caledonia and Wayne (special friend, Kay) Ranzenberger of Sheboygan, WI; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Amanda Olson of Caledonia and Marcella Olson of LaCrosse. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Marilyn; five sisters; and four brothers. Services were held Friday, October 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Schultz officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends called at the Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
