Elsa Pauline (Busitzky) Schroeder, 90, of Spring Grove, MN, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, in La Crosse, WI, of complications following surgery.

She was born September 16, 1912, in Fountain, MN, to August and Anna (Meyer) Busitzky. Other than living in Fountain and Plainview, MN she had been a Spring Grove area resident for the past seventy years. On September 7, 1932, she married Henry Otto Schroeder. She had worked at the Spring Grove Hospital for fifteen years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.

Survivors include two sons; Luverne (Carol), Spring Grove and Verdell (Doris), Statesville, NC; two daughters; Verna (Dean) Corbin, Columbia Heights, MN and Yvonne (Thomas) Roth, Albuquerque, NM; eighteen grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Onsgard, a son-in-law, Dale Onsgard, three brothers and six sisters.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial will be in the Trinity Church Cemetery. Pastor Robert Stoskopf will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

The family requests memorials be given to either St. Judeís Children Hospital or a charity of your choice.
