Rippe, Hammell & Murphy adds native son to its team

Posted: 8/19/03

It took him almost a decade, but this native son has found his way back home.

Jed Hammell, a 1995 graduate of Caledonia High School, is the newest addition to the attorney team at Rippe, Hammell & Murphy law firm in Caledonia.

ìComing back to Caledonia was an easy decision,î Hammell said. ìYou really canít beat the people and the community aspects of Houston County.î

After graduating from Caledonia High School, Hammell attended Southwest State University in Marshall, MN, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in business administration/finance. From there he went on to earn his law degree at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.

Hammell returns to Caledonia after a stint as an associate at Henson and Efron law firm in Minneapolis, where he practiced commercial law, as well as family and real estate law. At Rippe-Hammell & Murphy, he practices general litigation, personal injury law, and criminal defense and prosecution.

ìItís a great firm and Iím excited to start working here,î he said. ìI look forward to working with my father (Joe Hammell) and Tim Murphy in continuing the quality services the firm has been providing its clients for the last 50 years.î
