Salvation Army to ring bells here

Posted: 12/10/03

The local service unit of the Salvation Army will be ringing its bell for donations this month. Chairman of the unit, Bonnie Goetzinger, told The Argus that funds raised in the county stay in the county. Likewise, if people contribute in other cities, those donations are used in those cities.

Local volunteers will be ringing the Salvation Army bell at Quillinís IGA on Friday, December 12 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, December 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Funds raised will be used for emergencies only and include school supplies, vouchers for gas, groceries, car repair, hotels, prescriptions, utilities, and medical bills.
