Cora Tollefsrud
Cora Beatrice Tollefsrud, 93, of Spring Grove, died Monday, December 22, 2003, at Tweeten Health Services in Spring Grove. She was born April 20, 1910, on the family farm on Beaver Ridge, Caledonia township, Houston County, MN, to Oscar and Theoline (Berkvam) Kinneberg. She was a lifelong Spring Grove area resident, attending rural school on Beaver Ridge and the School of Agriculture at the University of Minnesota.
On June 13, 1936, Cora married Oscar H. Tollefsrud. The couple farmed and Oscar preceded Cora in death. She later was employed in the kitchen at Spring Grove High School. Cora was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Spring Grove.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Patricia) Tollefsrud, Rochester; one daughter, Arlys (Richard) Nerstad, Rochester; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debby (Tollefsrud) Schuster, a sister, Wilma Kragness and three brothers, Norton, Orville and Edwin Kinneberg.
Services will be Friday, December 26, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Robert Stoskopf will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the church only.
Roble Funeral Home of Spring Grove is in charge of arrangements.
