Margaret Gengler

Margaret M. Gengler, 93, of Caledonia, died Friday, December 19, 2003 at The Lutheran Home, Caledonia. She was born December 20, 1909 in Caledonia to John Peter and Mary (Eckert) Gengler.

Margaret worked as a secretary in the Houston County Courthouse; then she lived and worked as a housekeeper with her brother, Msgr. John Gengler throughout the Diocese of Winona. She was a member of St. Maryís Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her half brothers and sisters, Albin, Joseph, Izzie, Leonard, Anthony and Rosina, and her full brothers Ferdinand, and Msgr. John Peter Gengler.

Services were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 23 at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father James McCauley officiated and burial was at the Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends called from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church Tuesday.

McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia assisted the family with arrangements.
