John A. Meiners
John A. Meiners, 52, of Eden Prairie, formerly of Delano, died suddenly from heart failure. He was born September 4, 1950 to Gerhard and Maeanna (Schaust) Meiners in Louisville, KY. John was a respected lawyer, outdoorsman and friend to all.
John was a graduate of Elmhurst College. He received a masters degree from DePaul University, and an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. John went on to receive a law degree from the University of Minnesota.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Maeanna (Schaust) Meiners, and an uncle, George Schaust.
He is survived by his father, Reverend Gerhard Meiners, sister Annie and Dan Arnold, niece Cara and Ryan Albrecht and a soon to be born grand-niece.
Services were held on Thursday, January 30, at St.Paulís United Church of Christ in Delano. Pastor Jeff Hagaman officiated with Margaret Groskreutz organist and congregational singing providing music. Interment was in Pinewood Cemetery in Cross Lake. Arrangements were handled by Iten Funeral Home-Delano.
