Josephine R. Nelson

Josephine R. Nelson, 95, of Caledonia and formerly of Brownsville, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the Lutheran Home, Caledonia. She was born March 2, 1907 in Brownsville to Joseph and Rose (Grau) Williams. On April 12, 1927 she married Everette Nelson in Winona and he preceded her in death April 12, 1996. Josephine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all of her many family members and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (Margaret) Nelson of Middle River, and Keith (Helen) Nelson of Onalaska, WI; one son-in-law, LaVern Privet of Caledonia; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Josephine was preceded in death by a daughter, Nadine Privet; a grandson, Arlo; and a great-grandson, Anthony Reining.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 22 at 2:00 from Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia. Pastor Tony Fink will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Ev. Cemetery, Brownsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the time of service.
