Paul F. Klinski, 79, of Caledonia, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. He was born March 7, 1923, in Union Township, rural Caledonia, to Fred and Martha (Tewes) Klinski. Paul served with the United States Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. On June 22, 1949, he married Mavis Wiebke at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia and she preceded him in death on August 26, 1997. Paul farmed for most of his life on his home farm in Union township. He also participated at the ěRound table of knowledge, good, and evilî at the Redwood Cafe in Caledonia. Paul was a member of the Loveless-Eikens American Legion Post 191 and the VFW Houston County Post 3833, both of Caledonia. Survivors include two sons, David (Jean) Klinski of Caledonia and Daniel Klinski, D.V.M. of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Klinski and a sister, Lois Kasten. Services will be Friday, January 31, 11 a.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia with Rev. John Wolff and Rev. Tom Schultz officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
