Ida Mae Glissendorf, 81, of Caledonia and formerly of Hokah, MN, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at her home. She was born March 11, 1921, in La Crosse to Frank and Helen (Guenther) Davey. On December 9, 1939, Ida married Dale Glissendorf in Rossville, IA. Ida worked for W.T. Grant Co. in La Crosse for 23 years and also Montgomery Ward Co. in La Crosse for two years. She was a leader of the Hokah Chiefs 4-H Club for 10 years and a member of the Hokah United Methodist Church and its UMW. Ida and Dale lived in Hokah for many years and spent the winter months in Arizona, Texas and Florida, settling in Apache Junction, AZ in 1979. In 1994 Dale preceded Ida in death. Ida Mae is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Dale) Reynolds of Bloomington and Sharon (Selmer) Tweten of Caledonia; one son, Curtis (Sue) Glissendorf of Round Lake, IL; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Taylor, Fairborn, OH; two sisters-in-law, Lois Davy, Brownsville, and Gladys Deters, Caledonia; and a special friend, R.W. ìBudî Peterson, B.C, Canada. In addition to her husband, Ida Mae was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Howard ìBudî Davey; and a grandson, David Reynolds. Services will be Wednesday, January 8 at 11 a.m. at Hokah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lora Sturm officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
