Sunday liquor sales voted down in Money Creek

In township elections held March 11, voters in Money Creek Township voted 141 to 89 to not allow Sunday liquor sales in the township.

Another question on the ballot was whether the township board should enact an ordinance which would govern adult establishments. The vote on that question was 141 yes, and 87 no.

Incumbent township supervisor Wayne Meyer was beaten by challenger Tom Knutson, 129-90. Board treasurer Richard Nelson retained his seat with 230 votes.
