Kevan Meiners claims state wrestling championshipPosted: 3/2/03 Kevan Meiners claimed the Class AA 215-pound state wrestling title on March 1 with a decisive 11-0 win over Justin Bronson of Princeton. To get to the championship match, Meiners pinned his first two opponentsñ Nick Steinmetz of Fulda in the first round, Adam Roden of St. Michael-Albertville in the quarterfinalsñ and breezed past Kevin Robling of Scott West with a 6-1 decision in the semifinal match on February 28. Three other Warrior wrestlers placed at the state tournament this past weekend in St. Paul. Ryan Feller at 140 pounds earned fifth place honors by defeating Tom Halvorson of Montevideo in a 2-1 decision.
