Woman sentenced for theft from New Caledonia FordPosted: 3/4/03 The woman who pled guilty to stealing money from New Caledonia Ford has been sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay a $2500 fine. Elsie Halverson was sentenced on February 19 after pleading guilty to three counts of theft by false representation on December 12. The charges stemmed from a series of incidents occurring between November 2000 and August 2001, during which time Halverson, the car dealershipís bookkeeper, issued 14 unauthorized checks totalling over $67,000.
