Several vehicle accidents reported in Houston CountyPosted: 11/4/03 By Shannon McKinney Several one-vehicle and car versus deer accidents occurred last week in Houston County, according to reports from the sheriffís office. Dale Wayne Johnson, 56, of Fort Collins received no injuries during a one-vehicle car accident on Hwy. 76 near Badger Hill on Saturday, November 1 at 11:42 pm. Judy Rae Sinclair, 59, of Caledonia, was involved in a one-vehicle rollover in the field off of Co. Rd. 14 west of Simmental Road. It occurred on Saturday, November 1 at 8:42 pm. Lucas A. Foellmi, 24, of Brownsville put his vehicle in the ditch on Co. Rd. 18. The accident was reported on Friday, October 31 at 5:00 am. Car versus deer Joel T. Almeida, 25, of La Crescent was involved in a car versus deer accident on Thursday, October 30 on Co. Rd. 6 near La Crescent at 9:34 am. Tom Berg of Spring Grove, who was driving an Ace Telephone Company van, was involved in a car versus deer accident on Wednesday, October 29, at 7:56 am. The accident occurred on Co. Rd. 17. Sheree L. Koch, 45, of Caledonia was involved in a car versus deer accident located on Co. Rd. 12 on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:59 am. Vandalism A Spring Grove resident reported damage to his property. It appeared to be vehicles driving over the grass. The incident was reported on Monday, November 3. Vandalism was reported on Ash Street in Hokah on Friday, October 31, at 1:24 pm. A Houston County golf course reported vandalism to its grassy area on Thursday, October 30. A La Crescent resident on Burns Valley Road reported vandalism to his mailbox on Thursday, October 30. An individual reported damage to their vehicle while it was parked on Quarry Road outside of Eitzen on Wednesday, October 29. On Monday, October 27, a business in Caledonia reported vandalism that had occurred several weeks ago. A paver was taken from beside the building to smash a glass block window. Also, a storm window was cracked by some object. Theft A Hokah resident reported that someone stole the hubcap from their vehicle while it was parked on Third Street. The incident was reported on Thursday, October 30. Man not injured in wheelchair accident Joseph Schulte, 41, of Caledonia was not injured when he tipped out of his wheelchair when it accidentally ran off the sidewalk into the construction site on Kingston Street. The accident occurred on Monday, October 27 at 9:00 am. The accident happened near the grease dumpster right at the back of the China Buffet. Schulte was able to return to work at Woodland Industries.
