Caledonia Bluff and Valley Balloon Rally sponsors needed

The Caledonia Bluff and Valley Balloon Rally committee is offering Caledonia area businesses and individuals an opportunity to help sponsor the Bluff and Valley Balloon Rally to be held in conjunction with the Foundersí Day annual Christmas Parade and Hot Air Balloon Lift-Off on December 5, 6, and 7.

As a sponsor, you will be entitled to have two riders in a balloon at one of the three planned lift-offs. Sponsors and their riders are welcome to attend the Friday night ëPilotsí Receptioní after the Christmas Parade for free hors díoeuvres at Good Times Restaurant and Bar on December 5. Business sponsors will receive an attractive sign for their place of business stating they are a proud sponsor of the Bluff and Valley Balloon Rally. In addition, their business banner will also be displayed in the Foundersí Day Christmas Parade and on a balloon gondola at each lift-off.

The cost of a sponsorship is $175. This is extremely reasonable when considering that most balloon pilots charge $125 or more per rider and sponsors have the opportunity to have two people ride on this weekend. Riders are reminded to wear appropriate winter apparel including warm cap, scarf, gloves, and boots.

Even with all this planning, the committee can not control the weather and can not carry rides forward to next year in the event of no balloon flights.
