Author of ghost stories to speak at libraryPosted: 10/14/03 Author Michael Norman will be speaking and signing his books at the Caledonia Public Library on Thursday, October 23 from 7-8 pm. Norman is the author or co-author of five collections of American ghost stories, including, most recently, Haunted Heritage, published this fall in mass-market paperback by Forge Books. Earlier with his late co-author Beth Scott, Norman also wrote Haunted Wisconsin, Haunted Heartland, Haunted America and Historic Haunted America. The New York Times Book Review termed Haunted America ìvibrantÖEntertainingÖTales of murder, sex, madness, and revenge make Haunted America both intriguing and amusing.î The Milwaukee Journal wrote that Haunted America is ìa road map to the Other Side. Take a left at the cemetery. Go down Highway 666 until you hit a dead end. And youíre there. Haunted America.î A revised edition of Haunted Wisconsin was published by Trails Media in 2001. Norman is working on Haunted Homesteads, a new collection of American ghost stories, scheduled for publication in 2005 by Forge Books. Norman formerly taught journalism and was chairman of the department at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2003.
