Richard Wruck

Richard H. ìDickî Wruck, 74, of Caledonia, died Monday, September 29, 2003 at Green Lea Manor, Mabel.

He was born December 18, 1928, in Norwalk, WI, to Herman and Dorothy (Luedke) Wruck. He is a 1946 graduate of Norwalk High School. From 1950 until 1952, he served in the United States Army as a baker during the Korean conflict. He married Elaine Pronchinske in 1953 and they later divorced. He was employed at Trane Company in La Crosse from 1953 until 1963. He moved to Caledonia in 1960 where he farmed until his retirement. On November 23, 1988 he married Joan Buchholz-Gustafson in Houston. Dick was a member of Calvary Ev. Free Church in Spring Grove and the VFW Houston County Post 3833 of Caledonia. He was well liked by everyone who knew him and he will be sadly missed.

He was was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Debrah Holtz and Rachel Ann in infancy; and a sister, Evelyn Kilday.

Survivors include his wife, Joan of Caledonia; one daughter, Paula (Richard) Large of Tomah, WI; two sons, Chris (Wendy) Wruck of Caledonia; and John Wruck and friend, Rachel of Rushford; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Donald (Ruth) Wruck of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by four step-children and 11 step-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, October 4, 2003, at 1 pm at the Calvary Ev. Free Church, Spring Grove. Rev. Ray Caldwell will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia at 10 am earlier that same day. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home on Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm and at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service.
