Posted: 10/20/03 Esther LynchEsther Mabel Lynch, 90, of Mound Prairie, Houston County, MN, died on Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the La Crescent Healthcare Center, La Crescent. Esther was born in Trempealeau County, WI on September 14, 1913 to Albert and Mabel (Beckett) Eglinton. She graduated from Houston High School, Houston in 1932. She later married Hugh Lynch in Rushford. He preceded her in death in 1985. Esther was a loving mother and grandmother, a homemaker who farmed with her husband in Mound Prairie. She enjoyed baking pies, playing cards and being ìCookie Grandmaî. She is survived by four daughters, Faye Hauswirth of Union Grove, WI, Gail (Bill) Lee of Germantown, WI, Mary Lynch of Milwaukee, WI and Phyllis Barghini of La Crescent; two sons, William (Anne) Lynch of Houston and Charlie (Robyn) Lynch of Billings, MT; a daughter-in-law, Marian Lynch of Houston; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Bess Niedfeldt of La Crescent and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Hugh, she was preceded in death by a son, Francis ìBudî Lynch; a brother, Billy Joe; a son-in-law, Richard Barghini and four grandchildren, Linda, Joey, David and Jeff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 23 at 11:00 am at St. Peterís Catholic Church, Hokah. Rev. Paul J. Breza will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of services.
