Highway 61 bridge restrictions beginPosted: 10/7/03 Motorists should expect traffic restrictions on the Highway 61 bridge in La Crescent. The westbound right lane on the bridge will be closed so the Minnesota Department of Transportation can repair the curb and bridge deck. The restrictions will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The westbound right lane should reopen by Friday, October 17. When that work is completed, the east and westbound left lanes on the bridge will close so crews can make similar repairs. The entire bridge preservation project should be completed by Friday, October 31. Mn/DOT thanks motorists for their patience and encourages them to plan for delays especially during peak travel times.
