Caledonia Charities begins fund drivePosted: 9/23/03 Residents of Caledonia will soon be receiving letters asking for a donation to Caledonia Charities. Last year, donations fell a little short during the annual fund drive, so the organization is hoping for a stronger showing this year. Caledonia Charities was chartered in 1951 and supports a total of 22 charities. Solicitations are made in the fall, and funds are distributed in the Spring. A new charity added to the list jus this year is the Semcac food shelf. The letters requesting donations are sent to city residents only, but rural residents are welcome to donate as well. Checks may be sent to Caledonia Charities, P.O. Box 42, Caledonia, MN 55921. Donations may also be dropped off at either Community First Bank or Merchants Bank. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
