ATV driver charged with DWIPosted: 9/23/03 By Shannon McKinney Argus News Reporter On Wednesday, September 17, at 7:13 p.m. Deputy Mike Ernster of the Houston County Sheriffí;s Office encountered a four wheeler ATV on Cork Hollow Dr. which almost hit his squad car. The ATV departed at a high rate of speed and was soon located rolled over behind a residence. Adam Traff, 24, was located inside the residence and was later charged with fourth degree DWI. Thefts On Sunday, September 21, an individual reported the theft of power tools taken from his garage located on County Road 249. On Thursday, September 18 a La Crescent resident reported the theft of her 2000 Saturn green four door vehicle. On Wednesday, September 17 at 9:30 a.m. a Houston person reported damage to a Pepsi machine thought to have occurred sometime between Sunday and Wednesday morning. No money was taken. On Sunday, September 22, the City of Caledonia reported that a car stereo had been stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the city impound. On Thursday, September 18, a Caledonia resident reported the theft of his 26'' mens bike. It was a silver vertical mountain bike with front and rear shocks. Disorderly conduct arrest On Wednesday, September 17, at 2:49 a.m., Bruce Allen Dekeyser, 46, of Waupaca, WI was arrested for fifth degree assault and disorderly conduct at the Applefest grounds in La Crescent. Vandalism The City of Caledonia reported damage to street lights next to East Side Lane. They had been shot out in past months. On Saturday, September 20, at 12:01 a.m., a resident on Richards Road reported that his and his neighborís mailboxes had been damaged sometime during the early evening hours. Poaching On Friday, September 19 at 11:15 p.m. the Houston County Sheriffís office received reports of possible shots at deer on McSpadden Road in Houston.
